I'm just going to throw this out there. Maybe people could re-blog this post to all our friends--

Dear Friends--we haven't gotten paid for around 3 months. This company has not paid us the thousands of of hard earned dollars they owe us. Please call them at (570) 424-9848 and ask them to please pay their employees for Christmas.

Has anyone not got paid commission yet?

Is anyone having trouble getting their commission?
Has anyone gotten less commission than they expected?
I'm not sure what's going on, but I wanted to see if I was the only one.

has anyone heard anything about what checking out will be like? (inventories, dear god?) what if we say, arrive back in stroudsburg on a friday? then does BTW pay for us to stay in stroudsburg over the weekend?


did anyone extend their run? What are those "special incentives" that were so eerily mentioned?

Re: inventories, what are people getting shipped to them? does anyone ever have an invoice included? did everyone else just leave stroudsburg with a ton of shit missing from the set, never to be shipped to them later?

Soooo, what's the funniest misinterpretation of a poster you've gotten this run?  Today, I had a girl think that our "Shawshank Redemption" poster was a classic baseball print.  In the past, I've framed the Gone with the Wind kissing poster for a girl who thought it was a famous historical print.  Also, is it just me?  Am I old now?  or are there waaaay more kids who don't know what "Animal House" is and just want the "poster of the guy drinking whiskey?"


Our days off were fun.  We somehow ended up in some tourist town where it is perfectly normal for folks to just walk around downtown with open cans of beer.  We got to be beach bums and eat tacos.

As far as "new projections" go, we noticed that for the first day of every sale we had.. our projections were the same as what the previous ones had been for the rest of the week.  Was the "mistaken algorithm" just them only looking at first day sales and then saying that's how much you're suppose to do every day?  Any other theories?

Anyone had mostly outdoor sales?  We've been fairly lucky- with very few.  It's difficult to store all those stock boxes.

Speaking of which, what are folks doing?  Are yall loading your trucks in a somewhat efficient way?  Our truck is all kinds of messed up and it's taking us forever to load/unload.  How are you managing outdoor sales or sales with small spaces?

so um...we have definitely passed a few open weigh stations. we havent stopped because we have no registration for our truck and our log books are always either illegal or not complete up to the hour...we're a tiddlybit nervous about getting tickets? is everyone else stopping at every open station? fuck.

So the new projections came out today, as I'm sure you're all aware. By chance did anyone elses go up? They did at one of our schools (the one we've already been at the last two days). Thoughts?

Hey guys. Hows everyone with the big ass trucks doin out there? We started calling ours The Beast. I guess it is convenient in ways...we don't have to pack stuff too tight, which is great since at the end of the day we're so pissed about everything that we just start wailing stuff in. And we gave ourselves trucker nicknames: Buck and Cookie. But seriously, fuck driving in cities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily the other half of our team drove us into Richmond, hitting every curb on the way, nearly taking out a few young ladies, and making a mom in a mini van very very angry.

Any of yall enjoying the hurricane? We're inland but it's pretty shitty out. Super windy. Really rainy. Our only day off in 2 weeks. Giddy up.

Oh and how about the earthquake? My first earthquake!

So team Fat Barry has checked off two Bingo blocks!!!! First, we got Matt! Matt is pretty awesome. We got way more training from him in 20 minutes than we did from our week in Stroudsburg. And last night I was able to trade a poster for an awesome tshirt and nachos!

Other than that we've been avoiding weigh stations (and luckily not driving much in general...). Also at an all girls school in Virginia we had to turn away helpers which was a shock to us since we had to get down on our knees and beg people at our first school to help....girl power ain't nuttin to fuck wit, I guess! We got loaded in like twenty minutes and it was awesome. We hit our projection there too! Whaaaaaa.

Ok...we're trying to keep up an optimistic attitude, but it's pretty hard. My feet feel like they're both broken and my knees....I think this is how they'd feel if I had knee replacements put in and then started walking on them two days later? I'm not sure....but I'm pretty sure.

Icing on the cake: we just found some watermelon lube under our bed!!!!!!! Haahhahahahahahahahahahhh!!!!!!!

Ok so, after 2 days of blistering sun and heavy fucking boxes and yuppie college kids, we end our third day early with a freak wind storm that blows a ton of shit (the posters, the poster from the display books, the display books, the tapestry rack, boxes holding pulled-but not wanted posters, NOT PUTTING THEM BACK, to save my thumbs. and maybe like a million cards/pencils.) We were lucky enough to get 3 "student helpers" to help us load the truck in like 10 minutes. we gave them like 15 damaged posters. 25mph gusts make for bad poster pulling. the worst is our last sale ends at 8pm so we can drive 4.5 hours into the mountains to get to the next sale at 8am where we still don't have any word from a sponsor. In fact, most of our contracts have no numbers on them either. and it took some persistent days of texting to get any contact info. Seems like they won't mind if we take the day off and actually get a full nights sleep and some desperately needed repacking/taping/wound licking/wtf ever done. xSUCKIT BTDUB!x

Hey yall, anyone still reading this? team future ex-lovers here only a few hours from stroudsburg after the shit show of getting on the road yesterday. we got one of those horrible trucks that is just barely legal without a CDL licence. It has air brakes and is terrifying. We want to quit if we can't switch it. Our first sale is worth half of our projection and starts in two days.

this is our first (and last, swear to god,) time with this company. can anyone give any insight into how or why the organization was this arbitrary?

What's the deal with...

That ONE kid who decides to sit down while you're setting up and just seems oblivious to the fact that there's a poster sale going on around him/her?

It seriously happens at EVERY sale for us. Today we got a middle-aged woman:
