ReplyDeleteThey said the same shit in spring when it took forever to pay us--that they were just waiting to hear from "Tony." it's definitely not Theresa's deal, she's just the lowly accountant who has to deal with BTW's ineptitude and all of us mad at her. I dunno what the fuck their problem is, hopefully they're not just waiting to go bankrupt so they can avoid paying us. Ugh.

Deletehow the fuck can a company send out a 1099 for a paycheck that doesnt exist? i think that's payroll fraud. we WERE not paid in 2011, so therefore should have NO 1099!
ReplyDeleteif we were to get paid, it would have to be dated for 2012 now, so our 1099's wouldnt be send out til next year.
The 1099-MISC I received last week from BTW only showed what was automatically deposited while on our run ($700 every two weeks, plus the 4.5% commission they paid in the beginning for our first couple schools). I double checked my bank statements and it matches up. I guess when we ever do get our final commission check from them we'll have to claim that money on NEXT year's taxes.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can't reach Tony, but I did file a Wage Complaint Form through the state of Pennsylvania (as suggested in a previous entry) and progress is being made! There is a guy currently investigating the situation who is in touch with Stella and Tony and I might be getting my check as early as next week. I encourage everyone else to fill out the same form, because the case worker knows this is a bigger issue than just a few people--strength in numbers! It just takes about 10 minutes, and then you hit send. Easy.

ReplyDeleteThe bullshit that Theresa emailed last week that Tonny is going through all the paper work (still?!) and should be done by mid to end of March seems like they're only buying themselves more time...
Also what did she mean that they will let us know the outcome? there is only one possible outcome! Just send us our money already!!!
